Steve has been in pastoral ministry for over 20 years serving in both Fellowship and Canadian Baptist churches in Kingston Nova Scotia, Charlottetown Prince Edward Island, and currently St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada. He presently serves as the Lead Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in St. John’s, a small but growing Church with a passion for biblical preaching, missions and church planting in one of the most unchurched provinces in Canada. Rob Godard (B.A., M.A., Briercrest Bible College and Seminary; D.Min., Trinity Evangelical Divinity School) has served in pastoral ministry for over three decades, faithfully shepherding God’s people in an Evangelical Free Church and two Baptist churches. He currently serves as Senior Pastor of Cloverdale Baptist Church, a multi-staff, multi-ethnic, and multi-generational congregation committed to the faithful preaching of God’s Word and living it out on mission.
Rob has also served in denominational leadership as a council member and vice president, and remains deeply committed to strengthening the church both locally and globally. He has taught in various colleges and seminary settings and carries a particular burden to equip and encourage pastors serving in persecuted contexts.
These days, Rob’s greatest joys include walking with the Lord, shepherding His church, and investing in his growing family. He is the grateful husband of Lori, the proud father of four sons, two daughters-in-law, and now a delighted papa of two granddaughters. You’ll often find him reading with a coffee in hand, or dancing to frozen songs, and he is thankful for the gift of family, the faithfulness of God and the privilege of serving His people.
