Ross Hastings

W. Ross Hastings is the Sangwoo Youtong Chee Professor of Systematic and Historical Theology at Regent College. He has doctorates in chemistry and theology (University of St Andrews, Scotland). Prior to his time at Regent, he served as the lead pastor of three churches in Canada, most recently at Peace Portal Alliance Church in the Vancouver area. He is the author of numerous books, including Total Atonement (Fortress Academic/Lexington, 2019) and The Glory of the Ascension (IVP Academic, 2025). He is married to Tammy and together they have five adult children and nine grandchildren. Ross played competitive soccer in his youth and now enjoys watching this sport as well as rugby, cricket, NFL football and tennis. He also loves to fly fish with colleagues.
