Every week we want to bring to your attention expository, Gospel-centred sermons from pastors across Canada. We hope that you become familiar with some of the faithful ministers of the word in our nation. We also hope that you will be edified on your daily commute or whenever you listen to these messages. We lastly hope that you learn about the churches where these pastors minister, so that you can easily find Gospel-centered, expository churches in your region.
Robbie Symons on Psalm 16 (Oakville)
In Psalm 16, God reveals the key to the truly contented life. Through David’s complete dependence on and intimate relationship with God, he has discovered confidence and peace. This results from a heart that is totally surrendered to the Lord and a life devoted to pursuing Him first above all things. Jesus tells us in Mattew 5:6 ‘Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied”. Seek first Christ and his righteousness and find the satisfied life.

Justin Galotti on Psalm 1 (Toronto)
How do we feed our souls in a fast-paced world? Psalm 1 encourages us to find the nourishment that we crave in God’s word, along with inspired instruction for how to.

Josh Tong on Luke 9:1–17 (King City)
We live in a burnout culture. People are routinely busy, stressed, and stretched beyond their limits. What’s the solution? Is it to simply life? Run from our responsibilities? Go on more vacations? Those may be the solutions offered by the world, but the Christian has a better one: look to Jesus, the limitless One! In this sermon, Pastor Josh looks at the familiar story of the feeding of the five thousand and shows us how it encourages us to come to Jesus with confidence, knowing that he will provide everything we need to live worthy of the gospel.

George Sinclair on Galatians 1:10-24 (Ottawa)
Why does the Bible say that the more we are “people-pleasers”, the less we are servants of Christ? Is the Bible just making us feel even more guilty about being a people-pleaser? Does the Gospel help us deal with the problems of people-pleasing? We will look at these and other questions as we study Galatians 1:10-24.

Dan Thomson on John 16:1-15 (Charlottetown)
As we approach John 16:1-15, we’re entering the third section of what’s known as the “farewell discourse” by Jesus to the disciples. This section of scripture is important, because Jesus is literally setting the stage for the future – even if they don’t quite comprehend it at this point. Jesus focus was preparing the disciples for the reality of their future – to be a witness is to be a martyr, not just a representative for Christ. Suffering is inevitable with a hardened, unbelieving world. However, Jesus also comforts them with the promise of the Holy Spirit to be their strength and guide as Jesus departs and they prepare to lead the church.
