Every week we want to bring to your attention expository, Gospel-centred sermons from pastors across Canada. We hope that you become familiar with some of the faithful ministers of the word in our nation. We also hope that you will be edified on your daily commute or whenever you listen to these messages. We lastly hope that you learn about the churches where these pastors minister, so that you can easily find Gospel-centered, expository churches in your region.

Rob Godard on Matthew 11:1-15 (Surrey)

How we choose who is the greatest of all time at different sports or other areas of life is at least partially relative but when it comes to Christianity Jesus has declared to us, through His Word, how we can be great. The key to our growth in this area is an understanding of what he defines as great as well as a willingness to pursue it together. May our minds be open to what the Word of God shows us as we pursue greatness on the pathway of God, not the world.

As we have the full revelation of God, we know exactly who He is, and what He has done, we can now point more effectively to Jesus than anyone else could before, and here is the thing that we should all hear very clearly…

GREATNESS that we should seek comes from leading people to JESUS

Robbie Symons on Philippians 1:1-11 (Oakville)

What or who is it that inspires you to excel, to strive continually to do your best? As Christians, there should be only one answer – Christ!  Paul tasted and knew that nothing surpasses the fullness and satisfaction of knowing Christ. This is what powerfully fueled Paul’s passion, perseverance and pursuit of Christ. Join Pastor Robbie as he begins this study in Philippians called  “Citizens of Heaven”.

Steve Kim on Ephesians 4:17–24 (Toronto)

As Christians, we are called to quit living like unbelievers and to become who we already are in Christ. Steve Kim preached from Ephesians 4:17-24 as part of our Ephesians mini-series.

Josh Tong on Luke 12:13-34 “Battling Greed” (King City)

Jesus said that we must guard our hearts from greed, because “one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” How do we do that? Join Pastor Josh as he takes us through Luke 12 to show us that greed isn’t just a money issue. It’s a faith issue.

Jeff Eastwood on 1 Samuel 13 (Charlottetown)

As we continue through our series in 1 Samuel we see at least 4 prerequisites for worship in chapter 13. Through the enabling of God we ought to focus on Him instead of our circumstances, trust His word, take responsibility for our own actions, and treasure Him above all else. The absence of these realities in the life of Saul, while to us seemingly unimportant, caused him to lose the extending of his kingly line, and thus we say ‘Jesus, son of David’ and not ‘Jesus, son of Saul’. God, give us the ability to see as You do, treasure what you do, and become more like you through Your Son by Your Spirit.

Brad Morrice on Galatians 2:1-10 (Montreal)

//
Still in our series Freedom, we approach the three transitions that Paul met in his life after knowing Jesus : he went from persecutor to preacher, he went from indifference to compassion for poverty, and he went from bondage to freedom.

Here is the message.
